Job description


Job Summary  
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Analyst supports the organization’s risk management program by identifying, analyzing, and quantifying risks that could impact strategic objectives. Working closely with risk owners and business units across the enterprise, the ERM Analyst provides data-driven insights and recommendations that enable informed, risk-aware decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities by Level

Level 1
  1. Assist in risk identification sessions and document findings
  2. Populate and maintain the enterprise risk register
  3. Conduct preliminary qualitative risk assessments using established frameworks
  4. Collect and organize data to support risk scoring and heat map development
  5. Perform basic data validation to ensure integrity of risk data
  6. Prepare draft sections of routine risk reports and dashboards
  7. Format and proof presentations and documents for stakeholders
  8. Participate in risk workshops and document outcomes
  9. Track status of mitigation action items and follow up with risk owners
  10. Maintain monitoring schedules and communicate review deadlines
  11. Support ERM team projects with defined tasks
  12. Research industry trends and regulatory changes

Level 2
  1. Independently facilitate risk identification sessions and workshops
  2. Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
  3. Develop and execute quantitative models to estimate risk exposure
  4. Design and maintain KRI frameworks and thresholds
  5. Perform scenario analysis and stress testing
  6. Prepare high-quality risk reports and executive presentations
  7. Serve as day-to-day ERM contact for assigned business units
  8. Coordinate risk assessment activities across multiple business units
  9. Collaborate with audit, compliance, legal, and finance teams
  10. Partner with risk owners to develop mitigation plans aligned with tolerance levels
  11. Monitor mitigation effectiveness and escalate unresolved risks
  12. Manage small-to-medium ERM projects from initiation to completion

Senior Level
  1. Lead enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment initiatives
  2. Analyze strategic, operational, financial, and reputational risks
  3. Evaluate organizational risk tolerance with leadership
  4. Design and oversee advanced quantitative models and sensitivity analyses
  5. Lead scenario planning and stress testing exercises
  6. Own development of senior leadership and board-level risk reporting
  7. Act as primary ERM liaison for senior business unit leaders
  8. Lead cross-functional working groups for enterprise risk projects
  9. Advise senior risk owners on mitigation strategies
  10. Contribute to enterprise risk policy and procedure development
  11. Mentor junior analysts and provide quality assurance reviews
  12. Lead complex, multi-workstream ERM projects

Lead Level
  1. Define strategic direction and evolution of the ERM progra
  2. Own design and implementation of ERM frameworks and methodologies
  3. Serve as escalation point for complex, high-impact risk issues
  4. Represent ERM in executive forums and risk committee meetings
  5. Provide authoritative analysis on strategic risks to executive leadership
  6. Integrate risk intelligence into strategic planning and capital allocation
  7. Lead development and review of enterprise risk policy and governance frameworks
  8. Partner with legal, compliance, and audit to coordinate risk oversight
  9. Build and maintain executive-level relationships as a trusted advisor
  10. Provide leadership to the ERM analyst team and foster high-performance culture
  11. Sponsor and oversee major ERM program initiatives

Experience Requirements
  1. Level 1: No minimum experience beyond degree requirements
  2. Level 2: Minimum 2 years of related experience
  3. Senior: Minimum 5 years of related experience
  4. Lead: Minimum 8 years of related experience

Education
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field (required)
  2. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Certifications
  1. PMP (Project Management Professional) – Preferred
  2. CQRM (Certified Quantitative Risk Management) – Preferred
