The Enhanced Due Diligence Analystis responsible for ensuring that the Bank complies with relevant laws and regulations aimed at preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime. In addition, this role will support the Customer Due Diligence processes by performing enhanced due diligence reviews on high-risk customers. This would include but not be limited to analyzing transactional and demographic information, conducting investigations for potential suspicious activity, and evaluating customer risk factors.

As an Enhanced Due Diligence Analyst, you will:

  • Perform, analyze, and document Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews of the Bank’s high-risk customers in alignment with procedures and policies.
  • Validate and document high-risk ratings assigned to the Bank’s customers as well as any mitigating factors to maintain an appropriate review cadence.
  • Initiate and manage customer outreach to obtain relevant information and documentation to facilitate ongoing reviews.
  • Maintain organized and accurate recordkeeping of EDD reviews and conclusions.
  • Assist the BSA Administrative Officer in maintaining, updating, and revising relevant policies and procedures to comply with regulatory changes and expectations.
  • Identifies unusual activity that warrants escalation to case investigation and presents case information to governing committees.
  • Prepare documents that are requested as part of examinations and audits and be involved with auditor and examiner discussions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues on the various BSA/AML software platforms.
  • Complete secondary review of regulatory filings for accuracy and completeness prior to filing being completed.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance reviews on various BSA/AML related alerts.
  • Provide support for CIP, CDD, EDD, and OFAC functions of the Financial Crimes Department.
  • Remain current on BSA/AML related issues and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and related work experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of related BSA work experience. CAMS Certification preferred.
  • Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering/U.S. Patriot Act, OFAC and Security Regulations.

High Risk Customer, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).

Experience and expertise regarding the Verafin monitoring application.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships throughout the bank.

Ability to act independently and perform duties with limited supervision.

Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite

Ability to deal sensitively with highly confidential information

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

Excellent analytical skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
