- Execute the work in accordance with contract documents, approved submittals, permits, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate foremen, operators, pile-driving crews, divers, welders, carpenters, laborers, surveyors, and specialty subcontractors.

- Coordinate crawler cranes, rough-terrain cranes, long-reach excavators, vibratory hammers, diesel or hydraulic pile hammers, and marine lifting equipment.
- Confirm equipment inspections, operator qualifications, vessel documentation, rigging plans, and lift requirements are current.
- Monitor equipment utilization, fuel use, maintenance needs, rentals, downtime, and mobilization logistics.
- Develop and maintain daily work plans, weekly production plans, and three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate equipment schedules, barge movements, material deliveries, surveys, inspections, and subcontractor sequencing.
- Establish measurable daily production targets and track actual performance against planned quantities.
- Prepare contingency plans for weather, tide restrictions, marine traffic, permit windows, equipment breakdowns, and material delays.

- Inspect work areas, vessels, access systems, ladders, barges, equipment, and temporary structures for unsafe conditions.
- Immediately address hazards, near misses, incidents, and environmental releases and participate in incident investigations.
- Ensure work complies with applicable USACE permits, environmental resource permits, Coast Guard requirements, port authority rules, and project-specific restrictions.
- Coordinate turbidity controls, protected-species monitoring, spill prevention, stormwater controls, and environmental inspection requirements.
- Maintain required permits and environmental records onsite and coordinate with environmental consultants and inspectors.
- Stop or modify work when environmental limits or permit conditions are at risk of being exceeded.
- Inspect installed work for compliance with plans, specifications, approved shop drawings, tolerances, and manufacturer requirements.
- Verify material deliveries, certifications, pile lengths, welds, concrete placement, reinforcing steel, embedments, and survey control.
- Maintain pile-driving logs, concrete records, weld inspection records, survey documentation, as-built information, and quality checklists.
- Coordinate testing agencies, owner inspections, engineer observations, deficiencies, corrective work, and punch-list completion.
- Prevent rework by confirming layout, elevations, materials, and approvals before installation.
- Prepare accurate daily reports documenting manpower, subcontractors, equipment, work activities, quantities, deliveries, inspections, weather, tide conditions, delays, and photographs.
- Maintain current drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, permits, change directives, and field revisions onsite.
- Document owner-caused, design-related, weather-related, access-related, and third-party delays in sufficient detail to support schedule and cost records.
- Review and approve crew timecards, equipment reports, delivery tickets, and subcontractor daily reports.
- Provide timely information needed for progress billing, change-order pricing, schedule updates, and project closeout.
- Monitor labor productivity, installed quantities, equipment utilization, overtime, material consumption, and production rates.
- Compare actual field performance to budgets and planned crew compositions.
- Identify cost overruns, waste, inefficiencies, or scope gaps and promptly report them to project management.
- Protect completed work, stored materials, owner-furnished items, and rented equipment from damage or loss.
- Support change-order documentation by tracking labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and delay impacts.
- Coordinate daily with owners, engineers, inspectors, port authorities, Coast Guard representatives, surveyors, utility companies, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Participate in progress meetings, coordination meetings, safety meetings, and schedule reviews.
- Communicate marine traffic restrictions, closures, navigational impacts, delivery constraints, and public-safety requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships while protecting the contractor’s contractual rights and documenting decisions affecting the work.
- 5 or more years of heavy civil construction experience, or at least 5 years supervising marine or waterfront construction.
