Job Title: Commercial Electrician Lead
This long-term role offers steady 50-hour work weeks performing new construction commercial electrical work. You will lead small crews of 1–3 electricians or work independently, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Lead and coordinate small crews of 1–3 electricians to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Work independently when required, managing your own workload and priorities.
- Perform electrical work on new construction projects in commercial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations.
- Run and install various types of conduit, including PVC, EMT, and rigid, as needed for each project.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, perform diagnostics, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members on construction sites to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety by using appropriate PPE and adhering to site safety protocols.
- Provide professional communication and maintain positive working relationships with team members and site personnel.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to support high-quality workmanship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Experience installing and working with PVC, EMT, and rigid conduit.
- Familiarity with general construction practices and coordination with other trades.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Interest in staying current with industry trends and new technologies.
- Comfort leading and mentoring less experienced electricians.

Work Environment
The role is based in commercial new construction settings, with typical work weeks averaging 50 hours. The environment requires strict adherence to safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment; PPE may be provided on site, and you must supply your own steel toe boots. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
