Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Pay Rate: $20 per hour
- Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Type: Temporary
- Dress Code: Business casual; closed-toe, closed-heel shoes (tennis shoes encouraged); long pants required (jeans acceptable, no holes or inappropriate logos/phrases)
- COVID Requirements: None since 2021
- Driving Required: No
- Interview: Virtual (Teams) or in-person depending on scheduling
Primary Duties:
- Sort and stage letters and packages on a dock
- Check in packages using a scanning device and app
- Move packages using small carts and flatbed carts
- Deliver mail and packages to designated mailstops across campus using maps
- Pick up outgoing packages from mailstops and stage for outgoing delivery
- Look up tracking numbers on a computer
- Respond professionally to customer emails (regarding delivery times, etc.)
- Post letter mail using USPS postage machine
- Sort letter mail and prepare/label outgoing FedEx packages
- Move packages between campus locations upon request
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand campus maps
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to stand, walk, lift and move items up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier items)
- Ability to push/pull carts with packages
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes (emergencies, delays, construction, etc.)
- Team player with ability to take direction and work independently after training
- Professional email communication skills
