Job Title: Superintendent - Mesa, Arizona

Job purpose

Superintendents will be the primary field representative and be the overall lead on a project. They will supervise the scheduling, planning, coordinating, workforce, and installation of an electrical system in a new or existing construction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Delineate scope to project supervisors.
  • Ensure field team understands the project scope and specs.
  • Create and manage a detailing plan and schedule.
  • Create and manage temporary power plan.
  • Create field project schedule and manpower loader.
  • Set expectations for project supervision.
  • Work with PM on providing quantities for major material items and buy-outs.
  • Create Prefab plan including projected schedule.
  • Create tool plan and projection for the project.
  • Schedule and manage Dynalectric's sub-contractors and create sub-contractor schedules and look-aheads.
  • Coordinate the set up the field office for field members and ensure field break facilities follow CBA guidelines.
  • Set the tone for safety on the job and create an advantageous culture.
  • Build a relationship with the Dynalectric Project Manager (PM) and work as a team.
  • Work and communicate with General Contractor (GC) and subcontractors to ensure Dynalectric can install in the most efficient way.
  • Manage onsite field supervisors and manpower.
  • Track and manage productivity on the job site.
  • Schedule and manage Dynalectric's subcontractors.
  • Assist PM with writing RFI's.
  • Manage rental equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of material and tools while maintaining efficient and manageable laydowns.
  • Produce percent completes monthly WIP reports with the PM.
  • Uphold Dynalectric's standards for Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Manage Dynalectric's build schedule.
  • Work with PM team to ensure all as-builts and close out documentation have been submitted.
  • Work with PM team on a system to be used to report impacts.
  • Demobilize all tools, materials, and remaining temp power when needed.
  • Create and manage a project logistic plan.
  • Coordinate inspections and tasks with all authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility.
  • Work with PM to establish timekeeping, budgets, and accuracy of processes.
  • Work with PM to ensure field has updated digital access to project information.
  • Coordinate with Virtual Construction (VC) to submit timely and accurate information.
  • Manage job specific information flow to field workers.
  • Know and understand local CBA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum trade classification, Journeyman Wireman/Journeyman Technician.
  • Ability to work independently and work well with others in a multi-functional environment.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and schedule form.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of routine projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Superintendent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The Superintendent is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Temperature of the environment may vary by season. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Typical working hours may vary. Generally, Monday - Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach, they may be required to work extended hours, including some weekend work.
