Physical Therapist

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel.
  • Adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.
  • Attending and contributing to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.
  • Making referrals to other disciplines and agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.
  • Consulting with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs of each patient.
  • Adapting program and/or plan of care according to the needs of the individual patient.
  • Promoting a safe environment and enforcing the elimination of fire and safety hazards.
  • Ordering supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, identifying, and reporting the need for repair of equipment as necessary.
  • Putting patient service first: ensuring that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
  • Screening, examining and evaluating patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures.
  • Designing, fabricating, fitting and/or applying adaptive devices, and training patients in the use of adaptive devices included orthotics and prosthetics.
  • Selecting appropriate activities suited to the individual's physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest.
  • Performing routine reexamination as needed/required to modify/progress plan of treatment.
  • Incorporating health and wellness programming into treatment plans for patients.
  • Performing home and community mobility assessments and providing recommendations for safe mobility in the home and community space.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
  • Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
  • The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence.

Posted Salary Range: USD $47.00 - USD $63.00 /Hr. Bonus: USD $3,000.00
