Persons employed for temporary employment are not eligible to participate in the College's Health and Welfare plan or option fringe benefit plan in conjunction with their employment. Human Resources will track the eligibility requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Should a person meet the eligibility requirements, Human Resources will initiate an open enrollment period to enroll an ACA designated medical plan.

Overview
The planetarium seeks a skilled individual to greet groups, present shows and operate planetarium equipment for visitors. Successful candidates will need to be able to speak comfortably in front of an audience, manage a crowd, and present information in an accessible way for an audience of many ages. Good general knowledge of space, planets, stars, deep space objects (DSO) and current events relating to space is required. We're looking for someone who is dependable and can work well on a team as well as be able to operate independently as needed. Light supervision work of other team members may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years experience public speaking
Expansive knowledge of science and astronomy related topics - preferred candidates will have taken and passed a college-level astronomy course.
