Responsibilities

  • Client Communication and Support
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and manufacturers in the settlements department, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and offering guidance on the settlement process.
  • Conduct outbound calls to clients to discuss settlement offers, gather necessary information, and explain legal terms and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while interacting with clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed effectively.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels.
  • Drafting Legal Documents
  • Prepare and draft settlement agreements, release forms, and other legal documents in accordance with client instructions, firm policies, and legal requirements.
  • Review and edit draft documents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, ensuring that all terms and conditions are accurately reflected and legally sound.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to finalize and execute legal documents in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and Record-Keepin
    Maintain thorough and accurate records of all communications, negotiations, and documentation related to settlement efforts in our case management system.
  • Ensure that client files are organized, up-to-date, and compliant with firm protocols and legal standards.

  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference calls related to settlement negotiations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the legal team, conveying important information and ensuring clear communication throughout the settlement process.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant or similar role, with a focus on both client communication and drafting legal documents.
  • Experience with Salesforce highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong drafting and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and professional legal documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to carefully review documents, correspondence, and case information to identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing information before submission.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and principles related to lemon law cases preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with legal document preparation software or case management systems preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree strongly preferred.
