Professionals in these roles, usually attorneys or paralegals, assess documents for relevance, confidentiality, and privilege, often using specialized software. These positions are typically project-based and last for a limited period, depending on the size and scope of the case. Temporary document review is common in law firms and legal services companies, especially during large-scale legal matters.

Temporary document review roles often involve reviewing large volumes of documents under tight deadlines, which can be mentally demanding. Reviewers may encounter complex legal terminology and need to quickly adapt to different review platforms or protocols set by each client. Staying organized, asking clarifying questions early, and using available training materials can help manage these challenges. Additionally, effective communication with team leads and collaborating with other reviewers ensures consistency and efficiency throughout the project.
