Office of Admissions
Responsibilities
The Office of Admissions is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management's integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student's development and progression in their academic experience - from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University.
OPS Positions available for start in Fall 2026!
This position provides support to the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management through on campus recruitment efforts to engage, inform, and connect with prospective students considering enrollment at Florida State University.
Serves as a campus tour guide, providing walking tours of campus, sharing facts and information about the university and student experiences with prospective students and other guests.
Serves as front desk and office professional staff for the FSU Visitor Center. Related duties include answering telephone inquiries, making tour reservations, and assisting with varies tasks throughout the first-year admissions cycle each year.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability to work on campus during the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Must be an undergraduate degree-seeking student at FSU.
  • Must remain in good academic standing with the university.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pre-existing knowledge or a willingness to learn extensive information about academic programs, student services, activities, student experiences, and historical facts about Florida State University.
  • An understanding and appreciation for the uniqueness of campus as it applies to identity, thought, and experience for our students, visitors, and members of our community.
  • Applicants should exhibit excitement and pride for Florida State University.
  • Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively, be detail oriented, have a strong customer service orientation, exhibit a positive and friendly attitude, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, time management skills, and exhibit general reliability, punctuality, and dependability as an employee.
