Assembly Operator Temporary, 1st Shift – White Bear Lake, MN

We have an opportunity for a temporary Assembly Operator to join our White Bear Lake, MN team on the Weekend shift. You will follow procedures for assembling products, handling products, equipment and materials per the production department and company's quality system procedures. This role may be directly involved in production in multiple areas, including seaming, banding, packaging, core cutting, pleating, and dispensing.  Good candidates have the ability to stay focused and produce high hourly assembly targets and perform repetitive work and motions. 

You will: 

  • Conducts safe and timely set up of assigned equipment using the work order, route packets, set ups and test methods  
  • Operates assigned equipment to meet production standards  
  • Conducts setup and operation of assigned equipment, inspects machined features to maintain quality, adjusts machine and changes perishable tooling.  
  • Exposed to clearly defined problems and/or instructions.  Expected to raise issues. Tasks follow set guidelines and procedures  
  • Duties and tasks are frequently routine and limited to own job  
  • Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies and procedures  
  • Inspects equipment and manufacturing parts to ensure quality  
  • Compliance with laws and regulations related to quality, safety and performance requirements  
  • Reviews shop operations packets, Bills-of-Materials, and engineering drawings to ensure that incoming materials to be assembled are correct to specified quantity/quality/part number  

Key Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 6 months or more of experience in production with an emphasis on good manufacturing practices  
  • Requires both written and verbal communication skills in English    
  • Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.  

Position hours/shift: 

  • 1st shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday
  • Mandatory OT on Friday: 5:00am – 1:00pm

Compensation: 

The hourly pay for this role is: $18.25/hourOpportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
