Job description

We are seeking a Lead Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Analyst to support and enhance an enterprise-wide Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) program. This individual will play a key role in ensuring critical business operations remain resilient during disruptive events and that recovery strategies, plans, testing, and governance activities meet business, regulatory, and audit expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program lifecycle, including Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), Business Resumption Plans (BRPs), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), testing activities, risk assessments, and governance reporting.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain accurate recovery documentation, including critical dependencies, recovery strategies, RTOs, RPOs, recovery teams, and notification procedures.
  • Maintain BC/DR program records, workflows, dashboards, reports, plan repositories, testing evidence, and issue tracking within Fusion Risk Management and related governance platforms.
  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate BC/DR exercises, including tabletop exercises, disaster recovery failovers, incident response simulations, and full-scale recovery testing.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting, metrics, testing results, issue remediation updates, and program status reports for leadership and governance committees.
  • Conduct risk assessments using an all-hazards approach to identify operational resilience gaps, evaluate recovery capabilities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support third-party continuity and disaster recovery reviews by assessing vendor recovery plans, testing evidence, and critical service dependencies.
  • Provide recommendations to improve continuity planning, recovery strategies, testing effectiveness, and overall organizational resilience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, recovery planning methodologies, and regulatory readiness.
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Technology, Risk Management, Operations, Communications, and business teams during incidents, exercises, and recovery events.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Impact Assessments (BIA), recovery planning, recovery testing, and incident response coordination.
  • Experience facilitating tabletop exercises, disaster recovery tests, and continuity planning initiatives.
  • Understanding of recovery objectives including RTOs, RPOs, and critical dependency mapping.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business leaders, auditors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting audit, regulatory, or compliance-related reviews.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Fusion Risk Management, LogicGate, ServiceNow, Jira, Workday reporting, or similar GRC and resilience management platforms.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with FFIEC, PCI, GLBA, SOC, and related regulatory or audit frameworks.
  • Experience developing training materials, job aids, testing scripts, executive presentations, audit responses, and governance reporting.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or information security programs is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monrovia, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
