What is a temporary digital scanning job?

Temporary Digital Scanning jobs involve converting physical documents, images, or records into digital formats using scanners or specialized equipment for a limited period of time. These roles are often project-based and may be required during company transitions, audits, or large-scale document management updates. Workers in these positions are responsible for organizing, scanning, and sometimes indexing files to ensure they are accurately stored and easily retrievable in digital systems. Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information are important aspects of these roles. Typically, these jobs last until the scanning project is complete or a specific deadline is met.

What skills and qualifications are needed for a temporary digital scanning specialist?

To thrive as a Temporary Digital Scanning Specialist, you need attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and experience handling documents, often with a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with scanning software, office equipment (such as high-speed scanners), and document management systems is typically required. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines are valuable soft skills. These abilities ensure accurate digitization, secure handling of sensitive information, and timely completion of scanning projects.

What are common challenges in a temporary digital scanning role, and how can they be managed?

In a Temporary Digital Scanning role, one common challenge is managing a high volume of documents while maintaining accuracy and organization. It’s important to develop efficient workflows, stay focused during repetitive tasks, and regularly check scan quality to avoid errors. Additionally, adapting quickly to new scanning software or equipment is often required, so being open to training and asking questions can help you succeed. Working closely with supervisors and team members can also aid in resolving any technical or procedural issues that arise.

Job description

Placement Type:
Temporary
Salary:
$400 Daily
+ Benefits and 401k
Start Date:
Aug 31, 2026
As the Post Producer - Digital Production, you will serve as the dedicated production lead for our client most technically complex and forward-looking post production work. Reporting to the
Executive Producer of Post Production, you will own the production pipeline for projects involving Generative AI, complex CG, and other emerging digital production disciplines - bringing the operational rigor to keep ambitious, technically novel productions on schedule and on budget while simultaneously building the review and tracking infrastructure that makes these new workflows repeatable and scalable across the studio.
The ideal candidate is a technically curious, operationally sharp producer who has worked directly on AI-assisted creative pipelines or high-complexity CG productions - and who understands not just how to produce through these workflows but how to document, systematize, and improve them. You are equally comfortable in a pre-production brief with a creative director and a technical conversation with a CG supervisor or AI pipeline engineer. You are a builder by instinct: when a workflow doesn't exist yet, you design it; when a tracking system is inadequate, you replace it; and when a review process creates friction, you fix it. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate clearly under pressure, and bring the organizational discipline and technical credibility to move fast on productions where the rules are still being written.
*** PLEASE NOTE: This role is onsite in Playa Vista ***
Key Outcomes:
• Digital Production
• Serve as the lead producer on Generative AI and complex CG digital productions - owning bidding, scheduling, resource planning, budget management, and daily production operations from brief through final delivery on projects where the workflow itself may be evolving in real time.
• Produce AI and Generative AI productions end-to-end - managing prompt-to-delivery pipelines across image, video, and 3D generation workflows [ComfyUI, Weavy, Runway, Sora, or equivalent], coordinating artists and engineers, and keeping creative outputs aligned with brand standards and legal compliance requirements throughout the process.
• Manage complex CG productions in close partnership with the CG Supervisor - translating creative briefs into technically grounded production plans, scheduling render and iteration cycles, managing 3D asset pipelines, and coordinating between internal artists and external vendors to maintain quality and delivery momentum across long-lead-time CG workstreams.
• Bring the judgment and experience to assess when a non-standard technical or creative approach better serves the project - making those calls confidently, communicating the rationale clearly to creative and production stakeholders, and adjusting course without disrupting the broader post pipeline.
• Review & Project Tracking Pipeline Development
• Design and build project tracking systems purpose-built for digital productions - architecting Airtable bases, dashboards, and automations that give the team real-time visibility into shot status, iteration cycles, asset readiness, vendor milestones, and delivery timelines across AI and CG workstreams simultaneously.
• Build and own the studio's review pipeline for AI and CG content - establishing structured review cadences, integrating frame.io or equivalent review platforms into emerging tech workflows, designing annotation and version-labeling standards for generative and rendered outputs, and ensuring every round of review drives productive iteration rather than circular revision.
• Document every new workflow as it is built - capturing process maps, technical handoff specs, naming conventions, approval gates, and vendor interface protocols in clear, accessible written form so that each emerging technology production leaves the studio with stronger, better-codified infrastructure than the last.
• Partner with the EP of Post Production to develop bidding frameworks, rate cards, and cost benchmarks for AI and CG digital project types - building the financial data infrastructure that allows the studio to bid these projects accurately and track their ROI over time.
• Vendor, Resource & Financial Management
• Identify, evaluate, and manage specialist vendors and freelancers across AI pipeline engineering, CG, generative design, and real-time rendering disciplines - building a curated network of technical partners the studio can deploy with confidence and speed as digital production project volume grows.
• Manage project financials and actualization across all emerging technology productions - tracking spend against approved budgets, managing vendor POs, processing contractor payments, and flagging financial risks proactively before they affect delivery or overage exposure.
• Oversee material and asset logistics specific to digital productions - including 3D scan data and digital twin assets, AI model inputs and outputs, generated image and video libraries, and technical handoff packages between production, CG, and finishing - ensuring everything is organized, versioned, and accessible when each discipline needs it.
• Creative Partnership & Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as the translator between creative teams and technical specialists - making emerging technology approachable and legible to creative directors and art directors while ensuring artists and engineers receive creative direction that is technically clear and actionable.
• Stay actively current on the emerging technology landscape - evaluating new tools, platforms, and workflows as they arrive and bringing informed, practical recommendations to the EP of Post Production on where the client should invest its attention and budget next.
• Collaborate with the broader Post Production team to share workflow knowledge, extend emerging technology learnings into the commercial post pipeline where applicable, and contribute to a studio culture that treats technical innovation as a creative asset.
Qualifications
• 5-8 years of experience producing post production with demonstrated hands-on involvement in at least one of: Generative AI creative pipelines or complex CG productions - at a commercial post facility, VFX studio, production company, or in-house brand.
• Demonstrated experience building production tracking systems and review pipelines from scratch - not just using existing tools but designing the structure, logic, and workflow within them - for productions where standard templates were insufficient.
• Advanced proficiency in Airtable - including relational base architecture, formula and automation logic, linked records, and dashboard configuration - with a demonstrated ability to build bespoke tracking systems for non-standard production workstreams.
• Strong technical literacy across post production disciplines - sufficient to hold substantive conversations with CG supervisors, AI pipeline developers, generative design leads, and Flame artists about their workflows, constraints, and handoff requirements without needing translation.
• Experience bidding and financially managing technically complex productions - with the analytical skills to develop accurate cost models for project types that have no industry-standard precedent and the discipline to track actuals rigorously against those estimates.
• Experience building and managing review pipelines using frame.io, Shotgrid [ShotGrid/Flow], Ftrack, or equivalent - including version management, annotation workflows, approval gating, and integration with production tracking systems.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills - able to manage multiple concurrent emerging technology productions at different stages, maintain accurate documentation, and keep creative and technical stakeholders aligned without creating noise or unnecessary escalation.
• Proficiency in production management and collaboration tools including Airtable, Microsoft Office [Excel, Word], Google Slides and PowerPoint, Slack, and Teams.
• Minimum 10 years in post production roles across technically complex work, with both commercial post facility or VFX studio and in-house brand or studio experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Film, Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience producing AI image or video generation workflows - having personally operated or closely supervised work in ComfyUI, Weavy, Runway, Pika, or equivalent tools at a production level, not just in a test or research context.
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine as it applies to real-time rendering and interactive digital production - sufficient to understand asset prep requirements, scene organization, and the technical implications of real- time render decisions on the post pipeline.
• Basic scripting or API familiarity [Python, JavaScript, or no-code equivalents such as Make or Zapier] - sufficient to automate workflow steps, connect production tools, or extend Airtable and review platform functionality without requiring engineering support for routine tasks.
• Experience with AI/ML ethics, intellectual property, and usage rights considerations as they apply to commercially produced AI-generated content - and a working knowledge of how major platforms and networks are currently treating AI-originated assets from a legal and disclosure standpoint.
Reporting & Expectations:
• Reports to Executive Producer, Post Production
• Collaborates with Creative Directors, CG Supervisor, VFX Supervisor, Flame Lead, Post Producers, and Project Management [internal and 3P]
• Owns production tracking systems, review pipelines, and workflow documentation for AI, complex CG, and generative digital production workstreams
The target hiring compensation range for this role is ___$350______ to _____$400______. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
