Job Purpose:
- The Diesel Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and longevity. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing repairs in a timely and efficient manner, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to maintain vehicle efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools, providing accurate assessments and solutions.
- Execute repairs on engine components, electrical systems, and other mechanical parts to restore vehicle functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
