About the role
Weโre on the lookout for a dynamic individual who can work independently, is highly responsible and thrives in an ever-changing environment.ย In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of our geographical data as well as collecting imagery for our Geographical Information System. ย
During our peak seasons, you will be facilitating our data collection shifts. The shifts can range up from 8 to 10 hours (although some shifts require less time due to weather conditions, time of day, and location).ย
The ideal candidate would be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.ย
What you'll do
- Operate our sidewalk survey electric scooters to collect video and geospatial information using a mobile application.ย
- Collect specific data such as attributes, measurements and condition of roadway assets including Sidewalk and curb Ramps.ย
- Ensure both delivery and quality objectives are met on projects.ย
- Work, collaborate and communicate with the other Data Collection team members to ensure good project execution.ย
- Drive our collection car and operate our Lidar system to collect data.ย
- Conduct visual inspection for highways and sidewalks to record distressesย
Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with other teams and clients.ย
- Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks assigned.ย
- Extreme attention to detail.ย
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.ย
- Experience with using computers.ย
- Ability to ride the e-scooter system for 8 to 10 hours and manage long shift hours.ย
- Experience with working in a dynamic work environment with necessary problem-solving skills.ย
Must Have
- Valid US driverโs license is a must.ย
- Must be able to work overtime, and occasional weekend work is expected.ย
- Safe driving record preferred.ย
- Must be willing to travel (for weeks at a time).ย
- Follow instructions, procedures and company standards.ย
- Must be reliable and possess a high attention to detail.ย
- Flexible to sudden changes in scheduling and duties.ย
- High School Diploma/GED.ย
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Physical ability to lift 20+ kg, and walk 5-10km in a day.ย
Nice to Have
- Previous in-the-field and on-the-road experience preferred.ย
- Having Surveying, Civil Engineering or Pavement Management experience is a big plus, but not required.ย
- Associate Degree in science, engineering, or geography/GISย
Employment Info
The successful applicant will be working a full-time (variable hours) temporary position for the majority of 2026 and will report to the Data Collection Team Leader. Position involves a potential pre-employment drug screening. ย
