Job description

Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) TEMP to PERM Medical Assistant to join our Plaza Del Sol Health Center in the Corona, Queens.  

This temporary assignment is full time and for a duration of a minimum of 3 months with eligibility to apply to permanent openings upon conclusion. 

Key Duties:
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
  • Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
  • Completes referrals and discharges patients.
  • Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
  • Assist provider with treatments. 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Medical Assistant Certificate
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour; Maximum: $21.00/hour 

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite in the Bronx, 40-hour shift Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 7am to 1:30pm.
