PURPOSE: The Food Pantry Warehouse position plays a vital role in ensuring our shelves are stocked and our community is served. Under the direction of the Pantry Manager, this physically demanding role involves unloading trucks, moving heavy pallets, and handling cases and boxes of food. The position supports daily pantry operations by completing assigned tasks, assisting with additional duties as directed, and maintaining an organized, efficient warehouse environment. This role is integral to the timely distribution of food and directly supports Switchpoint's mission to serve and strengthen our community.

Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive deliveries in compliance with Utah Food Bank/USDA requirements.
  • Stock shelves and create refrigerator displays.
  • Monitor product inventory.
  • Coach volunteers / service missionaries.
  • Heavy lifting.
  • Unload box trucks.
  • Retrieve shopping carts.
  • Organize food Freezer.
  • Meet deadlines both daily and monthly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and compute basic math.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Able to abide by ALL Switchpoint Guidelines.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to carry heavy loads.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, twist, bend, push, pull, reach and perform assorted physical tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Follow instructions.
  • Operate a pallet jack.
  • Work in Freezer with below zero temperatures.
