This role serves as a dedicated partner to the Analytics Product Manager, acting as a bridge between high-level business strategy and day-to-day technical execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who wants to work hands-on with complex data platforms, machine learning integrations, and external data partnerships. The ideal candidate has strong experience with customer-facing, external products and has successfully navigated Proof of Concepts and real product go-lives.

This position which reports to the Lead Director and has a dotted line to the Analytics Product Manager, collaborates closely with internal data scientists, ML engineers, front-end developers, marketing teams, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Requirements & Backlog Management

Serve as the subject matter expert on all assigned products and their functionalities to drive tactical product execution.

Gather requirements and create appropriate functional and business artifacts, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, user flows, and meeting notes.

Partner with the Product Manager to groom and maintain the product backlog in Jira, understanding the technical nuances behind business requirements.

Document complex data flows, business rules, and technical prerequisites for AI integrations and external data platforms.

Bug Triage & Quality Assurance

Act as the first line of defense for product issues and bug triaging across the CDS portfolio.

Investigate user-reported issues, reproduce errors, and perform root-cause analysis on data anomalies before routing actionable tickets to the appropriate engineering or ML data teams.

Create business test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT) during QA functional testing to clear blockers and ensure high-quality deployments.

Competitive Research & Stakeholder Communication

Translate complex backend technical concepts (Machine Learning, Gen AI, Simulation models) into clear, customer-centric value propositions for stakeholders.

Conduct ongoing competitive research on emerging AI solutions, STEM data platforms, and industry trends to ensure developing products provide differentiated value to the market.

Provide regular, structured, technical updates to cross-departmental business stakeholders (marketing, sales, leadership) to improve transparency and decision-making.

Work closely alongside the Product Manager to share daily responsibilities, track project task dependencies, and ensure external vendor deliverables remain on schedule.

Qualifications

Education

Strong documentation, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining an eye for detail.

Excellent spoken and written communications skills in English.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with sponsors from different divisions with diverse perspectives. The candidate must be a good listener, motivate people without exercising authority, and maintain composure under pressure.

Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, manage multiple competing priorities, and deliver on schedule.
