Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Quality Management Data Analyst to support quality-focused reporting and clinical data review activities in Chicago, Illinois. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone with experience conducting ongoing monitoring and collection of data for inclusion in the Quality Improvement reports. The person in this role will work closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders to maintain accurate records, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and assist with regulatory readiness initiatives.


Responsibilities:

1.ย ย ย ย ย ย Conduct ongoing monitoring and collection of data for inclusion in the Quality Improvement reports.

2.ย ย ย ย ย ย Compile reports and present findings to the appropriate medical staff, departments, or hospital committees.

3.ย ย ย ย ย ย Utilize various computer systems for tracking and trending.

4.ย ย ย ย ย ย Complete various statistical reports and create supporting graphical diagrams, as needed.

5.ย ย ย ย ย ย Provide support services to departments and providers needing assistance in developing Quality Improvement studies.

6.ย ย ย ย ย ย Review clinical records and perform department/unit quality and safety surveys.

7.ย ย ย ย ย ย Assist management in preparation for and during any regulatory surveys.

8.ย ย ย ย ย ย Promote hospital approach of โ€œContinuous Survey Readinessโ€.

9.ย ย ย ย ย ย Develop newsletters and other informational tools to communicate hospital quality improvement initiatives.

10.ย ย Maintain compliance with JCAHO standards.

11Assist administration in planning by providing information.

12Keep informed of current professional standards and represent hospital at various external organization meetings.

13Conduct Risk Management assessment, as needed.

14Development of clinical protocols and order sets.

โ€ข 3+ years of experience in medical data entry, clinical data analysis, report writing, coordination, quality reporting, or a related healthcare support role.

โ€ข Working knowledge of data collection, data analytics, report preparation, and quality improvement processes in a healthcare setting.

โ€ข Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with staff, providers, supervisors, and leadership.

โ€ข Comfortable reviewing clinical documentation and interpreting internal and external materials related to job duties.

โ€ข Proficiency with computer-based tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools used for trending and analysis.

โ€ข Ability to perform basic calculations such as percentages, totals, and comparisons accurately.

โ€ข Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

โ€ข Familiarity with healthcare compliance and accreditation standards, including JCAHO-related expectations, is preferred.
