The ideal candidate is technically curious, reliable, safety-focused, and eager to grow within a fast-paced operations team. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain site performance, resolve issues, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Daily Activities
  • Perform day-to-day tasks including equipment installation, racking and stacking, cabling, labeling, and facility rounds.
  • Execute preventative maintenance procedures and support corrective maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in monitoring and operating Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and ticketing platforms.
  • Follow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs to ensure safe and consistent work execution.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Issue Resolution
  • Monitor power, cooling, and IT systems to ensure stable performance and identify potential issues early.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure incidents.
  • Escalate equipment or system issues to senior engineers in a timely, concise, and accurate manner.
Customer Support & Remote Hands Services
  • Provide professional and timely remote hands support, including power cycling, cable tracing, hardware swaps, and visual inspections.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to ensure service requests are handled correctly.
  • Contribute to a positive customer experience through responsiveness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and records for audits, compliance, and operational transparency.
  • Document changes, maintenance activities, and incidents following established processes.
  • Support asset tracking, inventory management, and spare parts organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work alongside Senior Engineers, Facilities, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support operational readiness and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in project-based tasks such as new deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity expansions.
  • Provide input on workflow improvements and safety practices.

Key Skills

  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, or IT infrastructure fundamentals (power distribution, cooling, cabling, server hardware).
  • Ability to follow technical procedures, safety protocols, and step-by-step documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and eagerness to learn complex systems in high-density environments.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn BMS, CMMS, monitoring platforms, and ticketing tools.
  • Detail-oriented approach to inspections, documentation, and compliance tasks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal updates and customer interactions.
  • Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments where accuracy and safety are essential.

Required Experience

  • 2-4+ years of data center, critical facility, telecommunications, or related technical operations experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, or infrastructure support.
  • Familiarity with power, cooling, and IT systems in a production environment.
  • Experience using ticketing systems, monitoring tools, or facility management platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, respond to incidents, and support 24/7 operations as needed.

What Success Looks Like

  • Reliable execution of daily tasks with high accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Strong support for preventative and corrective maintenance resulting in reduced incidents and improved uptime.
  • Clear, professional communication that enhances the customer experience.
  • Early identification and proper escalation of issues before they impact operations.
  • Accurate logs, documentation, and compliance tracking with minimal rework.
  • Continuous skill development, growing autonomy, and expanding competence across power, cooling, and IT systems.
  • Effective teamwork that contributes to a safe, efficient, and high-performing site.
