Job Summary 

This temporary role supports operations for our DSF Growth and Engagement team. This role ensures integrity of donor data, supports accurate gift processing and revenue tracking in partnership with Finance and Growth and Engagement teams.

Job Responsibilities


Donor Data & CRM Management

  • Maintain donor records (contact info, activities, moves management stages)
  • General database processing and data entry
  • Ensure accurate donor activity tracking
  • Maintain external fundraising platform profiles
  • Document procedures and support cross-training
  • Track and report fundraising and communication metrics

Gift Processing, Revenue & Financial Coordination

  • Gift processing and donor acknowledgements (letters, notes, call lists)
  • Monthly reconciliation with Finance (revenue, pledges, endowment gifts)
  • Identify discrepancies and make adjustments
  • Provide pledge reports and support pledge fulfillment
  • Support invoicing and financial documentation

Portfolio Management & Fundraiser Support

  • Focus: Enabling frontline fundraising effectiveness
  • Lead quarterly portfolio optimization meetings
  • Prepare portfolio analytics and recommendations
  • Facilitate group portfolio review sessions
  • Support Relationship Managers with pledge follow-up
  • Conduct prospect research (major gifts and grants)

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate standing and ad hoc reports
  • Prepare portfolio analytics
  • Track fundraising performance and trends
  • Support data-informed decision making across Development 

Project Management & Team Operations

  • Support project timelines for appeals, mailings, and campaigns
  • Maintain project management tools for Growth & Engagement
  • Coordinate team follow-up and task tracking
  • Manage cross-team project execution and communication

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • 1-3 years of experience with a donor CRM, Salesforce preferred. 
  • 1-3 years of experience with fundraising principles and techniques.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to remain professional and positive while multi-tasking as accuracy, attention to detail, deadlines, and prioritization are maintained.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic skills with strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and additional hours during critical times.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated development experience.
