Job Title: Temporary Data Cleanup Specialist (Remote)
Job Type: Temporary, Hourly (Through August 1, 2025)
Location: Remote
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week (Flexible)

Pay: $15-$20/HR on W2


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Temporary Data Cleanup Specialist to support two critical data integrity projects for a Special Education software platform. This role will focus on identifying and resolving duplicate student records and correcting active status conflicts for students across multiple school districts. The ideal candidate has strong data analysis skills, is comfortable with manual record review, and can work independently while following structured processes. This position is remote and available through August 1, 2025.


Key ResponsibilitiesProject 1: Duplicate Student Record Cleanup
  • Analyze and identify duplicate student records across districts due to Student Information System (SIS) vendor transitions.

  • Manually verify and determine the correct "active" record based on data activity and accuracy.

  • Prepare student ID mapping files for automated merge scripts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate merges and support clean data flow through SIF/API integrations.

Project 2: Multi-District Active Status Cleanup
  • Review analytic reports to identify general education students listed as active in multiple districts.

  • Validate records and inactivate incorrect entries based on documented exit and transfer events.

  • Support efforts to minimize future transfer issues due to conflicting student statuses.


Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

  • Experience with student information systems.

  • Proficiency in Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools for tracking and data validation.

  • Ability to follow structured procedures and clearly document findings and outcomes.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
