Are you a dynamic, results-driven leader ready to elevate medical coding and practice operations to new heights? Do you thrive in an environment where your expertise directly impacts on the well-being of a vulnerable population? If you're passionate about process improvement, team leadership, and ensuring compliance, our client has an exhilarating Temp-to-Hire opportunity for you!

FlexStaff is seeking a Medical Coding Operations Manager to spearhead the efficiency and effectiveness of our Coding & Medical Practice operations for a dedicated PACE organization. This isn't just a management role; it's a chance to be a catalyst for excellence, ensuring our frail and elderly participants receive the highest standard of coordinated care.

Responsibilities:

As our Medical Coding Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of our medical practice, ensuring seamless workflows and impeccable compliance. You'll:

  • Lead with Vision: Supervise, evaluate, and continuously refine our Coding & Medical Practice operations, driving efficiency and best practices.
  • Champion Compliance: Collaborate closely with DTC Physicians to rigorously review and enforce medical policies and procedures, ensuring consistent adherence.
  • Empower Your Team: Provide day-to-day supervision and mentorship to our dedicated Medical Practice Staff, fostering a high-performance and supportive environment.
  • Optimize Workflows: Oversee critical tracking processes for orders, notes, and medical records, ensuring timely signatures, follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Manage the meticulous scanning and uploading of all paper documents into our EMR system.
  • Facilitate Coordinated Care: Guarantee that all participant medical appointments are scheduled and aligned with care plans and provider orders.
  • Be a Key Liaison: Act as the vital link between Medical Coding/Practice operations and our clinical physicians/staff, promoting seamless communication.
  • Train & Audit for Excellence: Conduct chart audits and provide essential training to ensure accurate documentation and diagnostic coding.
  • Administrative Mastermind: Oversee diverse administrative duties including invoices, staff reimbursements, payroll coordination, site equipment maintenance, and Health Commerce System (HCS) management.
  • Site Steward: Handle critical site responsibilities such as weekly vehicle checks, site directory updates, and fire drills, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
  • Integral Team Member: Serve as an active participant in our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), contributing to holistic participant care planning.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • At least five (5+) years of progressive experience in a Coding or Medical Practice office-related field.
    • Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role (preferred, but strong leadership skills are key!).
    • At least one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, or a strong commitment to receive specialized training upon hire.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field, OR a Medical Practice related Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., CPC, CPMA, CPPM, CRC).
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and computer skills (typing, EMR proficiency).
  • Compliance: Must be legally authorized to practice, medically cleared, and up to date on immunizations.
  • Flexibility: Available to consistently travel around all PACE sites on a regular basis.
  • Language: Bilingual skills are a plus!
