How You'll Contribute:
- Sorting lenses by department, date and prescription
- Clean and prepare lens for processing, including anti-reflective coating, treating, and curing
- Inspect completed lens orders for scratches, aberrations, and other imperfections to ensure quality
- Prioritize and organize jobs for processing based on department requirements and lens treatment options
What We're Looking For:
- Standing for 8 to 10 hours on concrete floor
- Lifting freight and objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 40lbs
- Being around chemical smells, changes in temperature, and areas with walnut dust
- Safely walking, reaching (including overhead), bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, kneeling, and lifting as needed to perform job duties
- Work with optical lab machines to cut, heat, edge, and prepare lenses for customer eyewear
- Maintained equipment and followed safety and quality procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable transportation, job is not on a bus route!
