Job description

Overview
We are seeking applicants with 7 to 15 years of experience possessing strong quantitative background with an emphasis in Federal Aviation Analysis (FAA) acquisition cost estimating analysis, familiarity with various cost analysis models and tools, strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously or in a team environment, with excellent communication, quantitative, research and analytical skills to provide cost estimating/analysis and budget analysis and execution support for FAA acquisition programs. Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and experience in cost modeling and cost analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Individual will perform a variety of cost and economic analysis.
  • Work may include cost research, data collection, parametric cost estimating, cost and schedule estimating, life cycle cost analysis, cost estimating relationship and model development, cost risk analysis, project forecasting and risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and software cost estimating.

Skills Required
  • 7 to 15 years of government acquisition experience and knowledge of Federal contract requirements, cost estimating, and cost analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex information technologies, simulations, models, operations, and research tools. Demonstrated expertise in advising senior-level decision makers on significant issues related to cost
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the IT software used throughout the government for cost and economic analysis such as Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT), Crystal Ball, @Risk, and other common cost analysis software
  • Knowledge of FAA systems, software, and policy, particularly Coast Guard cost estimating best practices and policy and budget policy and systems

  • Software estimating experience will be viewed favorably
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic work environment and ability to coordinate and perform multiple assignments
  • Possess analytical, assertive, creative, and effective problem solving skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possession of a Certified Cost Estimating and Analysis (CCEA) certification from the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) preferred
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently to resolve complex issues
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability is required

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000/Year depending on experience and qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
