Job description

Reporting to Project Senior Manager, NBHX Trim North America, the Cost Estimator will organize a cost estimation process and analyze cost data with cost model.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze the cost of BOM, raw materials, process and tooling according to engineering data
  • Provide the manufacturing cost estimation and business case analysis as base for sales team.
  • Establish and improve the oversee cost model and database
  • Regional responsibility to build cost model and member of cost benchmarking
  • Analyze cost breakdowns from supplier request for quote (RFQ) and understand all cost influent factors
  • Automotive mechanical design and/or BOM, manufacturing process. Financial knowledge and skills
  • Work with Engineering & Procurement teams during the new business quoting phase to establish reference cost targets
  • Develop close technical relationships with suppliers to identify best cost solutions, including emerging technologies that provide cost improvements
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Power BI or related software
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
