Communication Technologies (ComTech), within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), delivers and maintains the core network infrastructure that enables teaching, research, and operations across NC State University. The Network Infrastructure Records team ensures the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of campus infrastructure data, supporting engineers, planners, and stakeholders in making informed decisions about the university's evolving network systems.

Essential Job Duties
This position supports the development and maintenance of accurate network infrastructure records that are critical to NC State's campus-wide telecommunications systems. 
Working within the Network Infrastructure Records team, the role ensures that engineers and stakeholders have reliable, up-to-date data for planning, design, and operations. The position contributes directly to the integrity of infrastructure documentation, enabling efficient project execution and long-term system sustainability.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education

Associate's Degree in the assigned discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Some positions may require certification. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD software
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Previous experience using ArcGIS or other GIS software.
Required License or Certification
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • NC Drivers License or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
