Job description

Job Title Geologist (Flex Staff) Job Description We are seeking Geologists to support Federal Projects with agencies such as EPA, USACE, and DOE. The Geologist independently conducts moderate to highly complex field investigations, oversees drilling operations, and collects geologic and environmental data to ensure data quality and project compliance. Job Duties Plan and conduct geologic and environmental investigations Conduct drilling and logging for moderate to highly complex projects Log soil/rock cores and prepare boring logs per ASTM/USCS standards Collect and manage environmental and geotechnical samples for laboratory analysis Install and maintain groundwater monitoring wells/instrumentation Prepare technical field notes, logs, and support documentation Attend progress meetings Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 5 years of relevant experience Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Preferred Qualifications Professional Geologist (PG) License Knowledge of Unified Soil Classification System for logging soils 40‐hour OSHA Hazwoper certification with 8‐hour annual refresher training up to date 8‐hour supervisory training 30‐hour OSHA Construction Industry safety class Current CPR/FA/AED certification Skills and Abilities U.S. citizenship Must pass a federal background check and medical examination Ability to work in the field, including long periods of standing, walking, or sitting Proficiency in soil/rock logging, boring logs, and well installations Knowledge of OSHA/HAZWOPER and environmental standards Strong technical writing, problem‐solving, and GIS/software skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in field settings under limited supervision Strong organizational and communication skills to work with military clients, contractors, and government teams Federal project experience is highly desirable Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance Good interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners Job Site Location United States – Nationwide Amount of Travel Required 100% Assignment Category Fulltime-Temporary Visa Sponsorship Available No – we will not support sponsorship, i.e. H‐1B or TN visas for this position Pay Range Minimum: $78,624 – Maximum: $157,248 Driver's License Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
