Job Description
Our client seeks an experienced individual to fill the role of Tax Supervisor on our corporate headquarters' team under a hybrid work schedule. The Tax Supervisor will assume responsibility for the quarterly income tax provision and preparation of the company's consolidated federal and state income tax returns. They will work closely with others in the accounting group and throughout the organization to understand and analyze issues for pertinent income tax, property tax, sales tax, or other tax consequences. The Tax Supervisor will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and experience in the use of OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax systems. The Tax Supervisor is expected to continually identify process and quality improvements in the company's tax processes. They will report directly to the Director, Tax, and the two of them will work together on all company tax issues.
  • Prepare ASC740 quarterly income tax provision calculations including permanent and temporary difference tax adjustments using OneSource Tax Provision, maintain deferred tax asset and liability schedules, prepare tax disclosures and footnotes for quarterly and annual reports (Form 10-Q and 10-K), respond to questions from external tax audit team for quarterly and annual income tax provisions, and prepare tax entries and quarterly tax account reconciliations.
  • Prepare consolidated federal and state income tax returns using OneSource Income Tax, including all related workpapers and prepare personal property and franchise tax returns.
  • Work closely with accounting fixed asset personnel to update fixed assets for Oracle Fusion Cloud tax books monthly.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax determinations and calculations.
  • Prepare quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments.
  • Research technical federal and state tax issues and document findings in a tax memo.
  • Maintain SOX tax controls, timely execute key tax controls, and prepare documentation updates, as needed, for key tax controls and processes.
  • Work closely with accounting and FP&A personnel and others to understand business operations and to gather critical data to document tax adjustments for required tax filings.
  • Work closely with FP&A personnel to forecast cash taxes and tax accruals.
  • Identify tax savings and system improvement opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 8+ years of corporate federal and state income tax experience in a medium-sized public company meeting the closing and reporting deadlines of a publicly traded company.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC740.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, OneSource Tax Provision, and OneSource Income Tax applications with demonstrated ability to learn new applications.
  • Sales and use tax reporting experience.
  • Experience with SOX tax controls and preparing process documentation.
  • Process improvement mindset with experience identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
  • Detail and results oriented with ability to identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and document technical federal and state tax issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The candidate must meet the requirements of 10 CFR 810 and 10 CFR 1017 to access export- controlled information and unclassified controlled nuclear information.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Taxation
  • Proficient in Oracle Fusion Cloud report inquiry and Tax Fixed Assets Module maintenance.
  • Experience creating workflows in Alteryx Designer.
  • Experience providing required tax input for SEC report filings.
  • Experience with Checkpoint Research Application.
  • Combination of corporate and large public accounting experience.
  • Experience with inventory tax issues.
