Job description

SHINE Systems is pipelining for a Senior Security Specialist to provide physical and personnel security support to our customer. In this role, you will serve as a Senior Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and work closely with the Government Program Security Officer (PSO) to support program security operations.

The CPSO will assist with implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures for designated Special Access Programs (SAPs), including associated compartments, sub-compartments, and projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring security compliance while supporting the safe and effective execution of sensitive programs.

Responsibilities

· Review, prepare, and maintain documentation related to physical security and facility security requirements

· Conduct inspections of secure facilities to verify compliance with security standards, including Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) requirements

· Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other facility-related documentation

· Provide training to personnel on access control lists (ACLs) and associated access procedures

· Train personnel on courier procedures and secure transport protocols for classified materials

· Perform physical and personnel security functions in support of Special Security Office (SSO) and Special Security Representative (SSR) responsibilities

· Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies for assigned SAP programs and related compartments

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience working with government security databases, such as DISS

· Experience working with JADE, Scatter Castles, and JPAS

· Strong experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) and SCIF accreditation activities

· Experience preparing, maintaining, and submitting security documentation; familiarity with ICD 705, DoDD 5205.07, and related directives

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

· Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) training highly desired

· Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) strongly desired

· Experience training personnel on and supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs)

· Experience assisting with SCIF accreditation and inspection processes

· Experience serving as an SSO or SSR in government or contractor roles

· Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

Required Security Clearance

· Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly

Education

· Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Pay Scale:

  • Salary Range: $55,000 to $130,000

  • Determination: The final salary offered will be based on the awarded contract funding and the selected candidate's experience, education, and geographic location.
