Job description

Security Officer Unarmed - Site Access

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Access in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist with a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Tue 06:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Wed 06:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Thur 06:30 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual occurrences.
  • Complete accurate patrol reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs; communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
