Job description

Standard Job Description Develops, administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data. Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies. Performs in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs or DOD collateral classified programs.

Serves as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or a Security Representative. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security rules (JAFAN/JSIG), SCI security rules (ICD) or DOD security rules (NISPOM). Works closely with U.

S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations. Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program.

Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials. Develops and conducts security education classes. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings. Basic Qualifications Must hold a current U.S

Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance. Possesses excellent organization and tracking skills, and attention to detail and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Experience with conducting briefings and debriefings; ability to clearly explain security processes and procedures.

Experience with DoD 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Experience with DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1 and 3, and DoD Manual 5205.07 Experience with DoD clearance processes such as DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SF86, and SIMS is desired. Proficiency in use of computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Ability to communicate and interact professionally and courteously both orally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests. Reliable attendance and punctuality is required. Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize workload based on urgency.

Familiar with DISS, JADE, Scattered Castles and NBIS. Familiarity with SIMS or other security software. Basic knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.

Desired Skills Led the Program Personnel Security Section in accordance with corporate and government policies, and not all inclusive but some of the duties as outlined below: Process visit access requests (VARs); enter clearance information into the visitor database and/or research information in DISS and SIMS clearance database. Mandatory SEAD 3 reporting via Defense Information System for Security (DISS). Provide employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances.

Handle in-person and virtual requests and inquiries, as it pertains to Local Security Database, Security Information Management System (SIMS), Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), Security Forms, Incoming/Outgoing Visit Request, New Hire Orientation Briefings, Cleared Employee Training, Foreign National Contacts and Foreign Travel Briefings. Coordinate classified indoctrinations and debriefs, conduct initial, annual and refresher training for external and internal stakeholders. Monitor clearances and manage Program billeted plan; prepare nomination packages, coordinate with customer sponsor's SPO and GSSO.

Additional Duties: Manage the internal security database with clearance, access, visit, and adverse information. Communicate with LM employees on additional information requests. Enforce LM's security policies and procedures.

Update databases for clearance and visitor tracking. Ensure LM information in DISS and JADE is accurate and timely. Assist the Security and Emergency Services, as needed.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
