Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Response Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an assigned construction location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and contribute to a reliable, team-focused culture built on integrity and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, access points, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and/or temporary facilities, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing authorized personnel and deliveries, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
