Job description

Location: Falcons Practice Facility

Job Summary

Andy Frain Services is seeking professional, alert, and dependable Full-Time Armed Security Officers to provide security services at the Falcons Practice Facility.

The Armed Security Officer will provide security coverage in accordance with established post orders while maintaining professional working relationships with customers, employees, visitors, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Officers must remain aware of their surroundings and observe, document, and report activity within their assigned areas.

Armed Security Officers are not law enforcement officers and must not be regarded as equivalent to or a substitute for law enforcement. Officers are expected to maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate excellent customer service, and perform all duties in accordance with company policies, post orders, applicable laws, and training requirements.

Armed Security Officers will be assigned only to operations where an elevated life-safety risk has been identified and where armed security support is determined to be appropriate.

Report time/Schedule

Monday and Tuesday 11pm to 7am and Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7pm total of 40 hours a week

Basic Functions
  • Control entrances and monitor pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
  • Patrol buildings, grounds, parking areas, and assigned perimeters.
  • Escort personnel, visitors, and authorized materials when required.
  • Inspect for security, safety, and fire-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, and security equipment.
  • Complete special assignments as directed by management.
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Responsibilities

Duties may vary based on post orders, operational needs, and assigned locations. Reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Report to work on time and in the required uniform.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous, respectful customer service.
  • Greet customers, visitors, employees, and contractors in a polite and professional manner.
  • Review and remain knowledgeable of current post orders, company policies, and customer procedures.
  • Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed security post.
  • Observe, identify, investigate, and promptly report suspicious activity, safety concerns, accidents, incidents, or possible criminal activity.
  • Monitor security cameras, access-control systems, alarms, and other equipment as required by post orders.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports, logbook entries, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Report security concerns and operational changes to the Security Supervisor.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, access-control systems, elevators, access doors, and related equipment.
  • Follow all training, licensing, compliance, and operational requirements established by Andy Frain Services, the customer, and applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by management.

Requirements for Armed Security Officers

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for an Armed Security Officer position:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid Georgia Armed Security Officer license or be eligible to obtain and maintain the required license.
  • Must have successfully completed all required firearms training and qualification requirements.
  • Must demonstrate safe and proficient handling of the authorized firearm.
  • Must be able to qualify with the firearm used while on duty, as required by company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Must maintain all required armed security credentials, permits, certifications, and training.
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks, drug screenings, and employment evaluations.
  • Must have a valid government-issued photo identification.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
  • Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, military service, loss prevention, or a related security field is preferred.
  • Must be able to remain alert, professional, and observant throughout the entire shift.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete accurate Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Must be able to follow post orders, company policies, client requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and comply with all uniform and grooming standards.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment, emotional control, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a security team.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety and security procedures.
  • Must understand that an Armed Security Officer is not a law enforcement officer and may not act as a substitute for law enforcement.

Employment and armed assignments are contingent upon meeting all Andy Frain Services, client, licensing, training, and regulatory requirements. Applicants must maintain their qualifications throughout their employment. Failure to maintain required credentials, training, or eligibility may result in removal from an armed assignment or other employment action.
