Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in a Cardiac Telemetry unit. The position involves providing care for patients with higher oxygen demands, those undergoing dialysis, and patients with conditions such as atrial fibrillation and post-heart catheterization.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage patients post-ICU, ensuring safety and adherence to care protocols.
  • Administer and manage cardiac drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol.
  • Provide telemetry monitoring for patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Care for patients undergoing procedures and those with complex medical needs.
  • Assist with the management of oxygen therapy and high-flow nasal cannula.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic EMR system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current TN RN License.
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac telemetry nursing role.
  • Proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record system.
