Job description

Job Title: Construction Laborer (Contract position)

Job Description

This role focuses on pre-assembling shoring and overpass concrete forms in an outdoor yard environment so they can be sent to construction sites for installation. The technician uses hand and power tools to assemble and disassemble concrete forms, working with nuts and bolts and following blueprints and instructions from leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-assemble shoring and overpass concrete forms in the yard to prepare them for delivery to construction sites.
  • Assemble and disassemble concrete forms using hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work with nuts and bolts and other mechanical components to ensure concrete forms are securely and accurately assembled.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand assembly requirements and layout specifications.
  • Follow detailed instructions provided by the lead and supervisor to meet project standards and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the yard to support safe operations and efficient workflow.
  • Inspect assembled forms for accuracy and quality before they are sent out to construction sites.
  • Adapt to working outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate assembly tasks and meet daily production goals.
  • Use tools and equipment responsibly and report any issues or maintenance needs to leadership.
