Job description

The Software QA Analyst II has the primary responsibility for ensuring quality product is delivered by the software development team. They work with software developers, other QA staff, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and execute appropriate testing scenarios. They will work on large scale projects, contributing to end-to-end, regression, and automated testing across cross-functional teams. They also collaborate with other members of the QA team to ensure testing adheres to SwitchThink standards, participate in automation strategy and optimization efforts, and help ensure every system is risk-free and built with integrity, caring and excellence. This is a temporary role anticipated to be 3-months.

What you will do here: 

Test Planning and Implementation

  • Implement and help manage end-to-end testing solutions
  • Maintain and enhance test plans, including contributing to the development of new automated test cases and updates to the existing test suite
  • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure compliance with regulatory policies

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to review business requirements and develop comprehensive and effective testing scenarios
  • Help guide, mentor, and support other software quality analysts
  • Participate in training sessions on new technologies, standards, and best practices to enhance yours and the overall team's skill sets
  • Participate in and lead UAT software demos
  • Effectively communicate findings and track issues until resolution

Automation Strategy and Execution

  • Ensure automated test code aligns with industry best practices and follows established standards
  • Aid in evaluating the performance, functionality, and scalability of the automated test suite, identifying areas for improvement and optimization

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of work experience, certifications, and other education 
  • 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance or other relevant IT industry or banking experience
  • 3+ years of experience with software testing methodologies including test planning, test execution, gap analysis, requirements traceability, and defect management
  • Expertise in software test planning, test execution, gap analysis, requirements traceability, and defect management
  • Demonstrated expertise with the software development cycle
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Expertise working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

       

      Our preferences:

      • Experience with automated testing suite (SmartBear products preferred)
      • Previous work in multi-tenant/multi-client environment

      This is a temporary 3-month hybrid position.  Candidates should be located in the Phoenix metro area.
