What is a temporary computer science student?

Temporary Computer Science Students are individuals, often enrolled in academic programs, who take on short-term roles or internships related to computer science. These positions may involve assisting with research, software development, data analysis, or IT support, typically during school breaks or as part of a cooperative education program. The roles are designed to provide practical experience while allowing the student to return to their studies once the position ends.

What types of projects or tasks can a temporary computer science student expect to work on during their assignment?

As a Temporary Computer Science Student, you can expect to support ongoing software development, data analysis, or IT support projects under the guidance of experienced professionals. Common tasks include coding simple applications, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with documentation, and testing software components. Job description

Description

Head of Technology

TMI Acquisition LLC is one of the world's largest manufacturers of temporary and semi-permanent tattoos, producing millions of units a day in Tucson, Arizona to U.S., Canadian, and EU safety standards. We combine specialty printing and manufacturing with consumer products in a category where FDA cosmetic regulation and USA-based production create a genuine competitive moat. Our owned brands include Temporary Tattoos, California Tattoos, and Industry Print, alongside a substantial OEM and wholesale private label business.

After three decades as a wholesale manufacturer, we are rebuilding the company as a modern, multi-channel brand platform on a single production floor. This is a deliberate transformation, backed by new leadership, new systems, and real investment - an unusual moment to join.

Why this role stands out

  • Total ownership of critical technology domains including ERP, ecommerce, CRM/martech, data, security, and infrastructure, all unified under one strategic leader.
  • Performance measured by growth metrics such as revenue, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value (LTV), rather than just system uptime.
  • The chance to build and shape the company's technological foundation during a pivotal moment of reinvention and expansion.

The role

  • You will unify TMI's technology footprint into a cohesive, scalable, and innovative platform that supports rapid growth and digital transformation.
  • Lead the development and execution of the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of ERP, ecommerce, CRM, and marketing technology systems.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making by establishing robust data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and resilience of all technology systems.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to define product roadmaps, innovation initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning.

Requirements

ย Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Director of Technology, or equivalent senior technology leadership role, preferably within consumer products, e-commerce, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong expertise in ERP systems, ecommerce platforms, CRM/martech, data architecture, and infrastructure management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives and scaling technology solutions.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
