Adjunct Faculty - Technical and Professional Writing, Department of Writing Arts

The Department of Writing Arts seeks qualified adjuncts to teach courses in technical and professional writing, which may include Introduction to Technical Writing, Writing for the Workplace, Writing as Managers, Writing for Nonprofits, or Editing for Publication.

Please see the department website (http://www.rowan.edu/writingarts) for more information about our Writing Arts major and our minor in Technical and Professional Writing. 

A master's degree is required in an appropriate field, such as Composition/Rhetoric, Communication Studies, Business Administration, Strategic Communication, or Human Factors. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience teaching technical writing or professional writing, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous student evaluations. Experience or expertise in usability, user experience, and/or accessible design is particularly desired.

Please note: candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,100 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
