Temporary Clean Energy Finance Jobs (NOW HIRING)

This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a multi-billion-dollar capital platform in one of the fastest-growing segments of clean energy finance.

You will:

• Own and architect the full capital stack for a platform scaling to ~$1.5B+ annually
• Operate as a true strategic partner to the CEO/CFO, with board-level visibility.
• Design capital strategy from first principles, not inherit legacy constraints.
• Build and lead the capital markets function as the platform scales.
• Have a clear path to Chief Capital Officer / CFO-level leadership.

SolSource is seeking a senior capital markets leader to own the capital acquisition strategy and execute the transactions required to support a ~ $1.5B/year platform. This is a player-coach role; you will both define strategy and personally lead execution of complex structured finance and tax credit transactions. You will work cross-functionally with internal finance, legal, and operations teams while building a scalable capital markets infrastructure.

• Lead the full capital raise: Project Equity, ITC receivable bridge, Step-Up Capital and ITC Sales
• Build and close a forward-flow ITC buyer program.
• Identify, originate and manage lender relationships with warehouse lenders, tax credit buyers, and institutional capital providers.
• Run the tax credit buyer process across multiple broker platforms and direct transfer programs.
• Develop and maintain the borrowing base model and facility sleeve structure in partnership with finance and legal.
• Coordinate diligence packages: tax memo, basis/FMV support, insurance, servicer controls, and system-level data tape.
• Hire and develop the project finance team as originations scale.
• Report directly to the CFO or CEO; serve as C‑suite capital markets spokesperson with lenders and buyers.

• Close ITC warehouse forward-flow program facilities
• Establish buyer network and close tax credit transfer agreements.
• Execution of existing project equity agreements
• Build a repeatable capital raise and execution process.
• Standup up a fully functional capital markets team and infrastructure
• Position platform for long-term institutional capital scaling.

• 8–15+ years in clean energy finance, tax equity, ITC monetization, or structured energy credit
• Demonstrated experience closing tax credit transfer or tax equity transactions ($100M+)
• Direct relationships with warehouse lenders and/or tax credit buyers in the renewable energy space
• Experience structuring and negotiating borrowing base facilities, ITC receivable bridges, or ABS takeout paths.
• Fluency in residential or distributed solar TPO/loan structures, ITC eligibility, basis/FMV, and recapture risk.
• Ability to own both strategy and execution — this role closes deals, not just advises on them.

• Prior experience at a residential solar finance company or as a capital markets provider of capital to those markets
• Experience with broker, or transferable ITC marketplace platforms
• Familiarity with warehousing and bridge loan mechanics
• Background in investment banking, structured finance, or project finance at a bank or advisory firm
• Experience building capital markets function from early stage through scaled platform

This role will initially operate in a lean environment, with the expectation to build out the capital markets function as originations scale.
