Description Powering your future. Intern with Moreno Valley Electric Utility. The Electric Utility Division is recruiting for two (2) Intern IIs.

Status: At-Will, Part-Time, Temporary Limited Term (up to 960 hours) Hourly Rate: $19.24 - $27.08 Schedule: Flexible scheduling up to 20 hours per week Apply immediately. THE OPPORTUNITY The Electric Utility Intern plays a supportive role in Moreno Valley Utility's operations, contributing to a range of projects and initiatives. This entry-level internship involves supporting Public Purpose Programs and performing administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, processing applications, calls, processing applications and assisting customers. The intern will assist in executing MVU's operational standards and ensure alignment with city policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate excels in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to learning and contributing to MVU's mission to deliver reliable, transparent service and innovative, efficient design.

They demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, social communication skills, and a commitment to public service. In addition, the candidate should possess a keen interest in power resources and energy programs and demonstrate an understanding of sustainable practices and renewable energy technologies. They should be eager to learn about integrating innovative energy solutions and to contribute to programs that promote energy efficiency and conservation within the Moreno Valley community.

MINIMUM AND DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and be currently enrolled in a college Master's Degree level program. Candidates will respond to a series of standardized questions, and their performance will be assessed using predetermined evaluation criteria to ensure a fair and consistent appraisal process. Based on the Department's needs, the selection procedures listed above may be modified.

All candidates will be notified of any changes in the selection procedure. Eligible List: Once the appraisal is complete, HR will establish an eligible list of candidates. Candidates placed on the eligible list may be referred to a selection interview to be considered for present and future vacancies.
