Fine Sock Knitting Technician

Thuasne has an immediate opening in Hamlet, NC 
 

 

Company/Position Overview:

Thuasne is a mid-cap medical device company, manufacturing class I and class II devices, committed to providing high-quality products that enhance patient mobility, function, and quality of life.

This position is responsible for maintaining knitting machines, performing repairs, replacing parts, and performing style and size changes of machines per capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Communicates with all knitting personal on machine performance issues.

· Documents issues on the “white communication board”.

· Informs Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager of any parts on-hand issues.

· Review the machine’s LCD to evaluate production and stops to determine potential issues.

· Communicates yarn performance issues to the Manager.

· Participates in shift meetings.

· Performs weekly machine maintenance on assigned machines to meet expectations per the audit conducted by the Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager.

· Performs style and size changes within capabilities.

· Makes repairs and replaces parts per capabilities.

· Re-needle and sinker the knitting machines as needed.

· Helps out with Knitter, Senior Inspector or Inspector duties as needed.

· Keeps work areas clean.

· Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

· High School or equivalent

· 2-3 years minimum experience required in circular knitting environment

· Knowledge of Circular Knitting Machines to include Lonati and Santoni

· Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed

· Ability to work with little or no direct supervision
