Job Summary
The STEPS University Events Technician provides audio/visual support for a wide variety of events across the university campus. In this position, the technician is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and strike of:
  • Audio - basic sound reinforcement
  • Video production, livestreaming and cinema projection systems
  • Lighting principles
  • Equipment preparation and maintenance

In this position you will also provide support for:
  • Equipment preparation and maintenance
  • Venue readiness
  • Ensuring production services are delivered safely, reliably, and in accordance with department standards

Dependability, professionalism and a positive attitude are necessary for this position as you will be interacting with various clients and event participants.
Employee who work with University Events' Production Services can expect an experience that allows them to work in a fast-paced environment while developing critical thinking and active problem solving skills, as well as gaining customer service and live event production knowledge.
