The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in Foundations or Studio Art. Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections. Teaching responsibilities are on campus, in Muncie, Indiana.What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Description:
Instructors of Art and Design will teach undergraduate courses in the Foundations (2D, 3D, 4D, or Drawing) and/or Studio Art program (drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, metals + jewelry, sculpture, photography, video and new media), and/or other courses in the candidate's area of expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach between one and three undergraduate courses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in art, design, or related discipline by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
MFA degree in art, design, or related discipline by time of appointment.
Engagement with contemporary art practices as an educator, artist, designer, and/or illustrator.
One year of teaching experience at the college level.
