Job description

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

You'll join the IoT Connectivity Product Team - a group of Product Managers solving critical real-world problems for enterprises across North America. Your role? Be the technical backbone that makes our most innovative platforms work seamlessly for customers.

You won't be another support technician. You'll be the subject matter expert who designs managed cellular router and modem configurations, troubleshoots complex connectivity issues in real-time, and consults directly with customers to translate their requirements into scalable solutions.

The team manages TELUS Control Center, TELUS Global Connectivity, Digi Device Management, EdgeIQ, and next-generation 5G standalone and eSIM technology. Your expertise will directly influence how these solutions are deployed and trusted.

What You'll Do

Technical Design & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct technical discovery with customers and internal stakeholders to understand connectivity requirements
  • Design end-to-end IoT wireless network solutions using managed cellular routers and modems
  • Translate customer requirements into device configurations, deployment standards, and implementation plans
  • Support customers through network integration activities including LAN/WAN design, VPN/IPsec, and routing strategy
  • Provide technical guidance during customer onboarding

Operations & Problem-Solving

  • Build and maintain modem and router configuration templates that set the standard for deployments
  • Remotely diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across customer devices
  • Perform root-cause analysis on complex networking and operational issues
  • Manage firmware lifecycles and keep configurations current as customer needs evolve
  • Coordinate with vendor technical support (including but not limited to, Digi International) when needed
  • Drive continuous improvement on operational processes and standards

Ownership Across the Full Lifecycle

  • Support deployment readiness testing, validation, and handoff activities
  • Own technical documentation and deployment records for each customer
  • Handle customer escalations related to managed modem services
  • Balance multiple active deployments and operational priorities simultaneously

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrating hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Practical experience with VPN and IPsec technologies - you've configured and troubleshot these in production environments
  • Real-world experience with industrial cellular routers or modems - you understand device lifecycle, remote management platforms, and field deployment realities
  • Strong networking fundamentals including routing, switching, NAT, firewall/ACL configurations, DHCP, DNS, and subnetting
  • Cellular network experience (LTE/5G) and understanding of WAN and remote connectivity architectures
  • Customer-facing communication skills - you can explain technical concepts clearly and gather requirements directly from stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Additional certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or cloud networking certifications
  • Industrial IoT networking experience
  • Managed services environment background
  • Carrier and cellular network troubleshooting experience
  • Cloud-managed networking platforms
  • Familiarity with Digi International products or similar remote device management solutions
