Job description

Nellie H. Stokes Elementary School is currently seeking Elementary Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 School Year to fulfill various positions from Grades 1st-5th.ย All positions are full-time. This role may be offered on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on departmental needs and the timing of the hire.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who are eligible or possess Elementary certification are encouraged to apply. Dual certification in Special Educationย is preferred. All candidates must apply on-line. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license.

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License.ย  Applicants withย one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License.ย  The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

SALARY:ย ย In accordance with the State of Delaware and localย salary schedules, based on experience and degree.ย Benefits packageย included.ย 
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:ย  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
