Job description

TRC Talent is looking for a Machine Operator(Brake Press) on 3rd shift(weekends) for our client in Kennesaw, GA!

Job Details:

  • Friday-Sunday, 7AM-7:30PM
  • $21-$22/hr + $2.60(shift differential)
  • Temp to Hire

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be certified in the material handler position.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
  • Properly and safely set up equipment to run material to set up note specifications.
  • Process set up notes according to work order specifications.
  • Verify that product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements (sampling plan).
  • Communicate with appropriate sales representative regarding changes/clarification to orders.
  • Should be able to make recommendations to improve processes in the manufacturing area.
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance; Perform general clean-up.
  • Properly enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
  • Balance the immediate workload recognizing when help is needed and when to be the team player to dig right in and assist or direct others,
  • Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.
  • Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
  • Properly operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.
  • Identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform quality checks during machine operation to insure proper function.
  • Complete production/productivity logs and reconcile production data.
  • Complete job responsibilities in a manner that does not put him/her or other individuals in an unsafe situation.
  • Train others when required
  • Assist in any activities related to lean and/or quality
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, providing the basic education needed to follow instructions and understand workplace procedures.
  • Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience, with the ability to safely run and monitor equipment in a production setting.
  • The ability to read and write is required to follow instructions, complete documentation, and communicate effectively on the job.
  • Candidates must be able to perform basic math skills, including simple calculations used in measuring, counting, and production tasks.
  • Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs as part of regular job duties in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using handheld measuring tools is required to ensure accuracy and quality in parts and materials.
  • A strong safety mindset is required to follow procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry, is preferred and helpful for understanding materials and processes.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred for safely moving and handling materials.
  • Candidates should be computer literate and able to use basic systems for work-related tasks.
