*This is a six-month temporary position with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Bot Auto is looking for a proactive and highly organized Technical Recruiter to support our growing engineering and technical teams. This role will be based in the Bay Area and will focus on identifying, engaging, and hiring strong technical talent in a fast-paced startup environment.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a technology company or recruiting agency supporting technical roles. Experience recruiting for robotics, autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other deep-tech industries is a strong plus.

You will work closely with hiring managers and the People team to understand hiring needs, build candidate pipelines, coordinate interviews, and deliver a thoughtful and efficient candidate experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for technical roles, including sourcing, candidate outreach, initial screening, interview coordination, offer support, and closing.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, technical qualifications, team needs, and hiring priorities.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, events, universities, and other relevant channels.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for software engineering, machine learning, robotics, autonomous driving, and other specialized technical positions.
  • Conduct initial candidate conversations to evaluate experience, motivation, location preferences, compensation expectations, and general fit.
  • Coordinate interview processes and maintain timely communication with candidates and interview teams.
  • Provide candidates with a professional, transparent, and engaging experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
  • Support recruiting events, university outreach, talent mapping, and employer-branding initiatives as needed.
  • Help improve recruiting processes, templates, reporting, and operational practices as the company continues to grow.
  • Manage multiple open positions and changing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of recruiting, sourcing, or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience recruiting for technical positions within a technology company, startup, or recruiting agency.
  • General understanding of technical roles such as software engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, perception, mapping, infrastructure, or related areas.
  • Strong sourcing and candidate-engagement skills, including experience using various recruiting platforms and channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple candidates, positions, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities and hiring needs may evolve quickly.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with hiring managers and the People team.
  • Able to handle sensitive candidate and company information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Based in the Bay Area and available to attend in-person meetings, recruiting events, or candidate conversations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting for robotics, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other deep-tech companies.
  • Familiarity with technical talent markets.
  • Experience using Greenhouse or a similar applicant tracking system.
  • Experience supporting recruiting events, university recruiting, or technical community outreach.
  • An interest in autonomous transportation and emerging technologies.
