Job description

Experienced Production Pilot (Production Transport)

Company:

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking Experienced Production Pilot to join our Production Flight Test organization located in Seattle WA.

This position specifically will have initial training in Seattle, WA at Boeing Field, followed by a Long-Term Assignment for 2/3 years to Zhoushan, China. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. After completing the assignment you will return to Seattle and continue to support the enterprise as a Puget Sound-based production pilot.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join Boeing Flight Operations and play a critical role in supporting Boeing delivery flight operations in China. Primary responsibility will be to conduct initial and follow on production flights and customer demonstration flights on newly manufactured or completed 737 airplanes in Seattle, WA and Zhoushan, China.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Plans and conducts production and acceptance test flights

  • Demonstrates or leads the production acceptance process

  • Identifies and documents flight deficiencies and coordinates resolution

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to Boeing

  • Plans, coordinates and conducts ferry, support and functional test flights on production and non-production aircraft

  • Serves as Pilot-In-Command

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Experience piloting turbine powered aircraft

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and travel internationally without restriction

  • FAA first class medical certificate

  • 1500 flight hours

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Test Pilot School (TPS) Graduate

Long-term Assignment details:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country

  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
